"Discuss how you will approach teaching students who are all digital natives and
have spent their entire lives growing up online."
I believe that the best way to reach this new generation of digital natives is simply by using and allowing the use of technology. Children learn how to work various devices, such as computers and laptops, cell phones, iPads, iPods, speakers, television, and video games, at a very young age and continue to use them as they grow up. If students are so accustomed to using all sorts of technological devices to explore, learn, entertain and be entertained, and work, it only makes sense that educators cater to their students in this way. It may be beneficial to challenge students to use websites, watch videos, and apply other resources that they may not be familiar with to further their knowledge. As students learn and grow, they will become even more acquainted to all the digital world has to offer. However, this does not mean that I believe that technology is the only way one should learn, especially because students need to practice social and communication skills that may be more difficult to improve with technology, but I do believe that it makes a significant impact when students are encouraged to use technology to learn and discover.
Teachers should encourage their students to use all kinds of digital resources and devices. Teachers must be open and willing to learn new skills related to the digital world so they, too, can further teach, and sometimes even learn from, their students. Teachers should allow students to use iPads, computers, laptops, and whatever other technology is available since students will continue through their education using them and will most likely need to know how to use them for their future careers. Teachers can present the knowledge and material that students need to know using these devices. Teachers may allow students to teach one another how to create a blog, record a video, set up a microphone, and make edits using a program so all become more comfortable and eventually master these skills. Both and in and out of the classroom, teachers need to be advocates for the technological world.

Prompt #2
"Evaluate whether you believe Bloom’s
taxonomy is a perfect fit for teaching and learning in the 21st century, as the author contends,
or if you believe it is an outdated taxonomy for the digital classroom."
I believe that Bloom's Taxonomy is still applicable to today's digital classroom. Within Bloom's ideology are the six goals of remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, evaluating, and creating. I believe that in order to use technology and do so well, one needs to use these six goals along the way. For students, this means to not only ask questions and seek answers as they use technology and the Internet but to generate follow up questions in order to dive deeper into subject matter. Using Bloom's Taxonomy means to apply what is already known to new situations in order to solve different problems, make predictions, form opinions and judgments, and think for oneself. Technology should be used to take found information to create new ideas and products. Bloom's Taxonomy, although not always termed as so, is relevant to the digital world because it allows students to work on their own, with a partner, or even in groups of all sizes to gain information, share ideas, evaluate others' findings and opinions, validate facts, create programs or projects, and do just about anything. Bloom's Taxonomy plays an extremely pertinent role both inside and outside the classroom and I believe it will continue to do so as technology changes in the future.

Prompt #1
"Compare and contrast the impact of technology on American society and popular culture with the impact it has had on the American educational landscape."
Technology in our modern society is ever-changing and its use is ever increasing. In a similar way, technology is growing more commonly used and popular in the educational setting. As technology changes in society, the technology used in the educational setting needs to be adapted as well. Better technology, such as technology in which is faster, more advanced, or more reliable, can be replaced for existing technology in order to keep up with teacher/student needs and curriculum. There is a direct correlation between the impact of technology in society and the impact of technology in the educational setting; as the impact of technology changes in society, it must change in education, as the impact of technology increases in society, its use also increases in education.
Technology helps students learn about the world in which they live. Students do not need to leave their country, state, town, school, or even classroom in order to learn about all the world has to offer to them. Students may learn about any subject simply by typing a question into a search engine or browsing the World Wide Web. Students may use technology at any moment and do not need to wait to attend a local library or ask a teacher before finding an answer to a question. Students may use technology for a variety of purposes such as to read articles, watch videos, view images, and more.
Additionally, I agree with the idea, from the YouTube video Pay Attention, that teachers should use various devices and technological resources often and well to educate their students. Teachers should not ignore technology or view it as something bad but should learn how to use new programs, challenge their students, and make learning fun and engaging by using technology in new and creative ways. Overall, as technology changes, teachers should be ready and willing to adapt it for their classroom not only to best teach students the necessary material but to better prepare their students for their future and a transforming world.
